BIO:

John Pilger is one of the world’s most renowned investigative journalists and documentary filmmakers. Originally from Australia, John started his career with Reuters and the London Daily Mail, becoming its chief foreign correspondent and reporting from all over the world, notably Vietnam.  He is the youngest journalist to receive the UK’s highest Journalist of the Year Award. He has reported on the civil rights movement in the US, marched to Washington following the assassination of Martin Luther King, reported from many war zones including Indonesia, Cambodia and the Middle East and conducted a 4 year investigation into the damage caused by the drug Thalidomide. John’s documentary films include coverage about the catastrophe in Cambodia, the genocide in East Timor, and several about the history of Australia and human rights abuses against Australia’s original Aboriginal population. His books have covered Iraq, Kosovo, and critiques of liberal media. Recently, one of John’s most important books -- “The New Rulers of the World” -- that exposes the underpinnings and motives of modern imperialism and the global economy has been updated and released. Prof William Robinson is Professor of Sociology at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is also the university’s faculty of Latin American Studies and in the Global and International Studies Program. He describes himself as a scholar-activist, who is deeply involved in American domestic and Third World struggles for social justice, popular empowerment of populations and participatory democracy and government.  His areas of focus include globalization, transnationalism, political economics, immigration and a variety of sociological issues. William received his graduate degrees from the University of New Mexico, and has published eight books, his latest being “Global Capitalism and the Crisis of Humanity.”

Ellen Brown is an economist and attorney in Los Angeles who is now the founder of the Public Banking Institute – a non profit economic venture to find viable, sustainable solutions to America’s banking crises by promoting people-owned state and community banks. Last year she ran as the Green Party candidate for California State’s Treasurer. Ellen has written extensively about the private financial cartels and the Federal Reserve. Her recent book, “The Public Bank Solution: From Austerity to Prosperity”, introduces a safe soluble public banking alternative to the credit-based system of the current big banks. Her writings also frequently appear on the website of the Center for Global Research, where she is a research associate.

Dr. Guy McPherson is a professor emeritus of Natural Resources, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona.  He has specialized in forest resources, energy decline and climate change and its economic consequences. In the past he has also taught at Texas A&M and University of California at Berkeley. Having become disillusioned with the American university environment and academia, and after attempts by university officials to silence his outspokenness about the human causes of climate change, Guy abandoned his tenured position as a full professor for ethical reasons of conscience. He is the author of several books, the latest entitled “Extinction Dialogs: How to Live with Death in Mind.” He is also the co-host with Mikey Silwa of the radio program Nature Bats Last heard every Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm Eastern time on the Progressive Radio Network. Dr. Brian Hooker is an Associate Professor of Biology at Simpson University in California, and a senior consultant for ARES Corporation, specializing in environmental restoration design.  As a bioengineer, Dr. Hooker spent 16 as a team leader for the Dept of Energy’s Genomes to Life Center for Molecular and Cellular Systems at its Pacific Northwest National Laboratory where he investigated gene-protein networks, cell signaling and cellular metabolic pathways.  He is a prominent leader in the organization Focus Autism, which is investigating the scientific evidence for a vaccine-autism connection. Brian has a 16 year old son with autism and has been active in autism community for a decade. Over the years Brian has filed many FOIAs with federal health agencies and has received 1000s of pages of documents that support the need to question the efficacy and safety of vaccination.  He has been a point independent researcher in the recent whistle blower case with Dr. Thompson from the CDC regarding vaccine dangers. In the middle of Dr. Hooker's interview, Gary played Florida Congressman Bill Posey speaking on the House floor about a CDC whistle blower exposing deception at the CDC. This happened in July 2015. After the 5 minute clip, Dr.Hooker and Dr. Null spoke about Congressman Posey's speech.

After the Dr. Hooker interview, Gary let everyone listen to Brian Deers, a journalist, who while walking into the General Medical Council hearings was confronted by parents with children who had Inflammatory Bowel Disease and told them they were wrong and basically crazy. TITLE: Brian Deer and The GMC, Selective Hearing. BMJ Journalist

DESCRIPTION: Brian Deer, a journalist writing for News Internationals Sunday Times, was the only person in the world to complain to a regulatory body about the work of doctors at the Royal Free Hospital in London who diagnosed children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which their parents suggested had occurred following MMR vaccination.

In 2003, after 10 years work, legal aid was withdrawn from over 1,000 parents claiming damages in a suit in which Dr Andrew Wakefield was to appear as an expert witness. In 2004 Deer wrote an exposé of Wakefield that was full of concoctions, half truths and fantasies and which claimed that the children examined by the team at the Royal Free were not ill. Deer's distorted pharma--imaginings became the basis of over 80 charges leveled against Dr Wakefield and three other doctors to be 'tried' by the General Medical Council (GMC). The hearing took place over three years between 2007 and 2010 and became one of the longest regulatory hearings ever held in Britain. Brian Deer, the centre of the whole plot, did not give evidence.

In bringing the fitness to practice case against Dr Andrew Wakefield, Professor Simon Murch and Professor John Walker-Smith, the GMC listened to journalist Brian Deer and excluded the views of hundreds of parents of vaccine damaged children. Who is Brian Deer? Vigilante for truth or front man for Big Pharma? Selective Hearing covers Deer's part in the heartbreaking betrayal of vaccine damaged children by the medical profession, the pharmaceutical corporations and the British government.

With the full power of the government and pharmaceutical industry behind him, few people were brave enough to tackle Deer. Alan Golding, however, is a Welshman, a very independent filmmaker and a man of considerable principle. Alan Golding gave himself completely over the three--year duration of the GMC hearing, to the cause of the parents of vaccine damaged children. Selective Hearing features clearly honest personal testimony from parents, an analysis of Deer's faulted case and unique material of him holding forth for the pharmaceutical companies in a heated exchange with parents outside the GMC building. If you see this film you will want to do something about Brian Deer.

Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss is an American Haredi Rabbi, human rights and religious activist and the spokesperson for Neturei Karta (Net-oor-ay  Car-tah) – also known as Orthodox Jews United Against Zionism -- in Brooklyn and Monsey New York. Neturei Karta is a Jewish group opposing the state of Israel and the Zionist agenda that pretends to be representative of the spiritual values in religious Judaism and the Torah. It was founded in Jerusalem in 1938 when a group of Orthodox rabbis refused to recognize the authority of what would later become the state of Israel. Rabbi Weiss is the son of Hungarian Jews; both of his grandparents died at the Auschwitz camp during the war.  He is also a sharp critic of Jewish and Israeli efforts to use the Holocaust as a weapon to increase sympathy for political and economic advantage. He is highly respected within the Muslim and Palestinian communities for his efforts to advance interfaith dialogue between religions. James and Joanne Moriarty were successful business persons living in Libya from 2007 until the overthrow and death of General Muammar Ghadafi in 2011.  While in Libya, they developed and marketed an enzymatic product to rejuvenate oil wells and clean up sludge pits that earned $5 billion. Dr. Jill Stein is the 2016 presidential candidate for the Green Party and a strong advocate for greater third party representation in election campaigns and debates. Dr Stein is a medical physician of internal medicine and a pioneer in advocating environmental health issues in Massachusetts. During her presidential run in 2012, she received enough votes making her the most successful woman presidential candidate in US history. Dr. Stein is a Harvard magna cum laude and received her doctorate from Harvard Medical School. Over the years she has been active in Massachusetts campaigns to better protect women and children from toxic pollution that has been associated with earning disabilities.  She is also on the national board of directors of the organization Physicians for Social Responsibility favoring a national universal healthcare program and has won awards for her public health efforts in clean water policies and children’s health. Progressive Commentary Hour – 02.16.16

Neville Hodgkinson is a British journalist who started reporting on the AIDS epidemic in the mid 1980s who has been a medical and science correspondent for the London Sunday Times, Sunday Express and Daily Mail. His many investigations and subsequent articles questioned the mainstream views about HIV and AIDS, including reporting from Africa, Australia and Europe.  His book Will To be Well: The Real Alternative Medicine was one of the first to describe wellness and happiness based upon scientific findings. In 1996 he published his scientific critique of the HIV theory in “AIDS: The Failure of Contemporary Science” and continued to write articles for publications such as Continuum, New African, Journal of Scientific Exploration and Business Online.  Neville was connected with the creation of the AIDS Advisory Panel of South African President Thabo Mbeki.
