Professor Robert Jensen is a professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. His research has focused on many diverse progressive social issues including race relations, foreign policy, feminism, post modern masculinity, the media and others. He is a board member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Center and a national organization Culture Reframed. He has authored many publications including his forthcoming “The End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men.” Other recent books include “Plain Radical: Living, Loving and Learning to the Planet Gracefully” and “Arguing for Our Lives: A User’s Guide to Constructive Dialogue.” Robert is the co-producer of a documentary film on the life and philosophy of longtime radical activist Abe Osheroff. In the first part of the program Gary talks with Rocky Anderson about Post Election analysis from the Justice Party. Rocky Anderson was the 2012 presidential candidate for the national Justice Party, which he was instrumental in founding. He is a former two-term mayor of Salt Lake City, having served from 2000 to 2008, and is the executive director for the organization: High Road for Human Rights. A former member of the Democratic Party, Rocky left over its evisceration of the Constitution and it having morphed into a poor alternative to the GOP. He is highly critical of both the Bush and Obama administrations, and now with the election of Donald Trump and his cabinet nominations. Prior to entering politics, Rocky practiced law in Utah for 21 years and was listed among the Best Lawyers in America. Business Week listed him as one of the top 20 activists on climate change and he has received many awards from various environmental organizations. Gary Ruskin is the co-founder and executive director of US Right to Know, a non profit organization with the mission to bring transparency and accountability to our nation’s food and GMO industries and expose corporate failures that threaten the public’s health. In 2012, he was the campaign manager for California Right to Know (Proposition 37) and earlier directed the Congressional Accountability Project for 14 years, which opposed corruption in the U.S. Congress. For nine years, Gary was executive director and co-founder of Commercial Alert and also served as the director for the Center for Corporate Policy. He has often been quoted in major newspapers across the country and has appeared scores of times on national TV news programs. He received his undergraduate degree in religion from Carleton College, and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
