Richard Wolff is Professor of Economics Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts and currently a visiting professor at New York City's New School University's Graduate Program in International Affairs. His focus has been on the history of economic crises, the Marxian economic theory, and class and worker struggles. In the past he has taught at Yale and the University of Paris. He holds degrees in economics and history from Havard, Standord and Yale universities. Richard has authored almost 20 books, his latest is "The Sickness is the System: When Capitalism Fails to Save Us from Pandemics or Itself." Prof Wolff hosts the syndicated program Economic Update, which can be heard every Saturday at 12:30 pm on Progressive Radio Network

I found Richard Wolf’s interview interesting and informative. While I agree that our economic system is in peril because of the pandemic I find some of his reasons the result of his bias as a liberal economist. He spoke about how I’ll prepared we were to respond to this current pandemic with respect to protective equipment i.e. masks, ventilators. The truth is that both the Obama and Trump administrations fell short on stock piling these PPEs. He spoke about companies off shoring manufacturing.
